SPD Local Front Panel Lock Out SCPI commands

November 21, 2019

The current version of the SPD programming commands (located in the Quick Start Guide) do not include any front panel lock commands. These are typically used to control the functionality of the front panel keys. Locking the front panel prevents accidental changes to instrument operation during remote control.

The SPD1000X and SPD3303X/X-E have three commands (SPD3303C only uses command 1 and 2):

1.  “*LOCK” – Locks out the function of the front panel buttons.

2. “*UNLOCK” – Unlocks the function of the front panel buttons.

3. “*LOCK?” – This is a query that asks the instrument the current state of the lock feature.
