New for Embedded World 2020 in Nuremberg, Siglent Technologies will be offering, free of charge, EMC seminars presented by Mr. Thomas Eichstetter, an experienced EMC consultant (www.emv-kurs.de). You can choose between two topics: Basic coupling mechanisms or the benefits of proper grounding and shielding concepts. Attendees will earn participation certificates. There are four sessions to choose from and each session will be held in English or German language (depends on the audience).

Afternoon Session
Importance of Proper Grounding Concepts
Ground is often used as a trash can for all possible current paths in a design. What is often forgotten is that there are also voltage drops due to current changes. Therefore, if the ground is not properly planned, electromagnetic disturbers arise and leave the circuit. In order to avoid this, the difference between potential reference and equipotential bonding is clearly demonstrated and a simple solution presented. In addition, the effects of poor shielding are demonstrated. The knowledge for good shielding is conveyed step-by-step.
